CIBSE - Intelligent buildings, shifting the investment paradigm

Rising workplace expectations, increasing performance demands, and exciting technology advancement, underpin the need for buildings to be ‘intelligent and smart’, and have borne a competitive upsurge of experts and master system integrators offering their services. Inherent complexity can often shroud associated investment, increase risk, and lead to poor outcomes. During this presentation, I will examine specification approach strategies, and explore the systemisation of lean design, performance measurement, tangible delivery, and quality assurance, aiming to simplify collaboration and fully illustrate measurable investment. I will also look at how strategic alignment with the RIBA stages overlay, can be governed to effectively support the contracting process.
