ICE - Muckamore level crossing closures

12th October 2026 6:15 pm

Join us for a behind-the-scenes look at one of Northern Ireland’s recently completed rail infrastructure projects.

This event will showcase the Muckamore level crossing journey from concept to the construction of the new bridge, laneway and embankment, that have enabled the closure of two level crossings on the NI Railways network. Attendees will gain first-hand insight into how the project team successfully delivered both the advanced works and main construction packages, overcoming technical and logistical challenges to achieve a safer and more resilient railway network.

The session will also cover the detailed design of the integral bridge and associated infrastructure, as well as the innovative measures delivered as part of the project, including the construction of a dedicated bat barn.

Whether you’re interested in highways, rail, structures, geotechnics, environmental engineering, or project delivery, this is an excellent opportunity to learn from a multidisciplinary scheme that demonstrates the real-world impact of civil engineering on local communities and transport infrastructure.

Book your place to discover how collaboration, innovation and engineering expertise helped transform a complex site into a lasting infrastructure success story.
