AFBE - From Conversation to Capability: Building the Future Defence Workforce

Following the successful From Contracts to Collaboration event, hosted by AFBE-UK and UK NEST in Bristol, AFBE-UK and WSP are pleased to continue the conversation with From Conversation to Capability: Building the Future Defence Workforce.
This event will bring together leaders from across defence, engineering, infrastructure and the wider supply chain to explore how organisations can move beyond identifying challenges and towards implementing practical solutions. Together, we will examine how collaboration, skills development and inclusive leadership can help build the resilient workforce needed to deliver the UK’s growing defence ambitions.
Through expert panel discussions, interactive roundtable conversations and networking, delegates will explore:

• How to build sustainable and diverse talent pipelines across the defence sector.
• Developing the skills and capabilities needed for future defence programmes.
• Strengthening collaboration between defence, infrastructure and industry partners.
• Creating inclusive workplaces that attract, retain and develop exceptional talent.
• Sharing practical examples of how organisations are turning strategy into meaningful action.

Whether you work in defence, infrastructure, engineering, programme delivery, workforce development, HR or diversity and inclusion, this event offers an opportunity to connect with peers, exchange ideas and contribute to shaping a stronger, more resilient and future-ready defence workforce.
